NYC: Pasha Turkish Cuisine
Luckily we found the restaurant with no problem, and after a LONG walking day - we calculated about 9 miles total, we really enjoyed taking a load off and having dinner with June, a family friend who will officiate at our wedding in April. The food was very enjoyable, especially the dips and olives and Calvin's lamb dish - very tasty.

Pan seared trout.

Mirrasou Wine Dinner at Woodfire Grill

The Mirassou label. Overall I really enjoyed the wines, especially the Sauvignon Blanc and the Pinot Noir. These wines can be found at your local grocery store and are reasonably priced.

Pan roased day boat scallop, sweet potatoes, winter squash, black lentils, pear and cashew salad, green chile jus, paired with 2009 Pinot Grigio.

Wood grilled local bob quail and smoked pork belly, roasted local okra, hakurei turnips, lacinato kale, chicken jus, paired with 2008 Merlot.

Peach streusel cake, almond mascarpone mousse, peach puree, peach ice cream, feulletine crumble, paired with 2009 Riesling.

9 Sons Rising Biscuits and More
Nine Sons Rising is a company I've mentioned before here when I previously tried their delicious blueberry dessert topping. Recently I had the opportunity to meet the two women who started the company, Paula and Jill, and I was also given samples of several of the delicious biscuits. Pictured above: the angel biscuits with peach preserves - a great combination. I also really enjoyed the blue cheese biscuits, which can be a breakfast, lunch or dinner item. The biscuits are sold at NY Butcher Shoppe, including the Atlanta location on Roswell Road.
